Your data & privacy
Do your apps collect my location or personal data?
No. Byte Bloom Apps runs no servers, has no accounts, and collects nothing from your device. Apps like Speedometer read your location on your device only, use it to calculate speed, and never store, record, or transmit it.
Where is my data stored?
On your device, and nowhere else. Anything an app saves (settings, trip information) lives locally. There is no cloud and no backend clearing the app data or uninstalling removes everything.
Why does Speedometer show ads?
The free version is supported by non-intrusive ads served by Google AdMob, which keeps the app free for everyone. Ads can collect certain device information per Google’s privacy policy we never receive it. Prefer none at all? The one-time Pro upgrade is fully ad-free and makes no advertising requests.
Speedometer
Does Speedometer need an internet connection?
No. Speed runs on GPS, which works offline. The only connections the app makes are for ads (free version) and purchase validation (Pro), both via Google.
Does Speedometer track me in the background?
No. Location is only read while the app is open and in active use. When the app is closed, location access stops immediately.
How do I remove ads in Speedometer?
Upgrade to Speedometer Pro a one-time purchase processed securely by Google Play In-App Billing. Your payment details never pass through us.

How much does a custom app cost?
Plans start at $149 for a focused single-purpose app. We always quote a fixed, affordable price within 48 hours, and the price you see is the price you pay no hourly billing, no surprises.
Do I own the app you build for me?
Yes. The app and its code are yours. We publish it to Google Play under your account, and support you with revisions, fixes, and updates according to your plan.
How do I get support?
