This Privacy Policy explains how Byte Bloom Apps (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our Android applications (“the apps”).
We believe privacy should be the default, not an option. Our apps are designed to work without collecting personal information about you.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to all applications published by Byte Bloom Apps on Google Play. It applies whether or not an app-specific privacy policy is published for that application. If an app has its own privacy policy, that document takes precedence for that app.
Information we collect
Byte Bloom Apps does not collect personal information from you.
Our applications do not require an account, run no servers of our own, and are built so your data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data — including app usage, device identifiers, or location — from our end, ever.
Some of our apps show advertising through Google’s AdMob service. Google may collect certain data in order to serve and measure those ads, as described in Google’s own Privacy Policy. That data goes to Google, not to us: we never see it, and we never receive personal information from AdMob.
Data stored on your device
Our apps store any data you create or generate — such as saved settings, trip information, or session history — locally on your device. This data:
- is stored only on your device;
- is not transmitted or synced to any server, because we have no servers;
- remains under your control at all times, including through any export features the app offers.
You can delete this data at any time by clearing the app’s data in Android settings or uninstalling the app.
No servers
Byte Bloom Apps operates no servers, backend services, or cloud infrastructure. There is nothing to upload to, and nothing that can pull data from your device. Your data lives on your device, full stop.
Permissions
Our apps request only basic, minimal permissions — and only what is needed to function, with a clear purpose for each one. Where a permission is optional, the app works without it.
The exact permissions requested by each app are listed on that app’s detail page. We do not request access to contact lists, microphones, or cameras. Where an app needs location access to function — such as Speedometer, which measures your speed — the location is read on your device only and is never stored, recorded, or transmitted.
Third-party services
The apps are distributed through the Google Play Store. Your use of Google Play is governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control.
Some of our apps integrate Google’s AdMob service to display advertising. AdMob is the only third-party service integrated into our apps, and any data collected through it is handled under Google’s Privacy Policy — not ours, and never by us.
Advertising
Some of our applications display advertising through Google’s AdMob service to support development and keep the apps free to use. Apps that contain ads say so clearly on their detail page.
AdMob may collect certain information to serve and measure ads — such as device identifiers, IP address, and usage information — in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers, and we never receive data collected by AdMob from our end.
You can control ad personalization on your device through Google’s ad settings at any time.
Analytics
We do not use analytics services in our apps and do not collect usage statistics from your device. Google may collect anonymized, aggregate information through AdMob in connection with ad delivery, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. We never see or receive it.
Data retention and deletion
Because your data stays on your device, we hold no copy of it. Deleting an app removes its data from your device. Export files you create yourself (for example, through an app’s export feature) are yours to keep or delete as you wish.
Security
Our apps store your data locally on your device, protected by Android’s built-in security. Because we run no servers and your data never leaves your device, the risks associated with transferring and storing data on remote servers do not apply. The only connection our apps make to the internet is for serving ads through AdMob, where applicable. You are responsible for securing your device (for example, with a PIN, password, or biometric lock).
Children’s privacy
Our apps do not collect personal information from anyone, including children. They are suitable for general audiences and require no account creation, so no special handling of children’s data is required. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will also be noted in the affected applications’ store listings.
